The Position

Our group is searching for an experienced and dynamic Device Development/Product Introduction Engineer to be responsible for design for manufacturability, assembly, testing, and the interaction between product design and manufacturing process development of parenteral drug delivery devices.   This includes design, testing and transfer to production activities for a wide range of combination products, along with providing technical support to partners working on validation, quality and program management.

Who You Are

  • BSME (or equivalent) with at least 8 years of experience in design or product transfers of medical devices (combination products a plus).
  • Proven experience in providing engineering technical leadership to a team composed by internal members along with external development partners and component suppliers. Ability to interact at a detail technical level with both design engineers, equipment and production engineers.
  • Demonstrated success in project planning, resource management, liaison with engineering and manufacturing resources in other countries is critical to the position.
  • In depth experience with high volume manufacturing processes and methodologies are required, with emphasis in plastic molding and mechanical assembly.
  • Hands-on experience on developing control systems to be used in production and batch release. Strong expertise with statistical handling and interpretation of data.
  • Familiarity with risk management tools; develop FMEAs of the products and ability to assess changes, non-compliances, etc. with risk assessments methods.
