The Position

  • Plan and execute stress, performance and functional Test on applications and systems using automation and manual Testing. 
  • Maintain an understanding of leading tools and technologies for development of mission critical web, database and related applications. (HP Suite, Selenium, Segue, etc). 
  • Lead the development of SQA Test Plans, Specifications and Project Scheduling. 
  • Collaborate with other SQA Leads in the development of  QA/QCProcedures, Test Scripts, and SQA lab standards and tools requirements. 
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements that streamline development activities while minimizing risk.
  • Mentor other team members in testing processes & testing tools in order to execute Test Plans as required
  • Manage onsite and offshore testers

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of experience in software & web product testing, development, and deployment. 
  • Software Quality Assurance background (7+ yrs)
  • Test Plan creation (5+ yrs), Application
  • System and Network Level technical knowledge (2+ yrs)
  • Performance Analysis (2+yrs)
  • Working knowledge of SQA Tools: Code Coverage, Automation, Requirements and Test Case Management, Defect Tracking Experience with Windows, Mac and Unix environments
  • Must have worked and have extensive knowledge with HP Quality Center (or ALM)
  • Multiple browser and Java knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Oracle or other RDBMS systems, including the ability to run queries, read and create SQL procedures/scripts and interpret results. 
  • Experience in testing complex client server application, web applications, Enterprise Applications such as ( MRP, ERP, CRM (Salesforce a plus), Financial )
  • Experience with one or more SQA and/or load performance measurement tools such as Silk Performer or Silk Test or Load Runner, Win Runner, QTP.
  • Experience supporting delivery of mission critical solutions to production organizations
  • Experience in multiple computer system environments based upon platform software such as Solaris, Windows, Internet Information Server, Oracle, or SQL/Server
  • Programming knowledge in one or major languages and/or scripting tools such as C, C++, Java, Visual Basic. 

Skills              

  • Should have strong experience leading testers
  • Ability to clearly communicate direction and vision to both business and development peers
  • Should have hands-on experience in authoring and executing manual test cases.
  • Should possess strong process documentation skills. 
  • Strong background in risk-based testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA metrics, process performance/capability baseline and statistical techniques. 
  • Good understanding of best practices within SDLC as well as several methodologies (waterfall, RUP, Agile, Lean, etc.
  • Should demonstrate professional assertiveness. 
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently and interact with project teams. 
  • Dedicated and responsible individual with a strong commitment to the assigned task
  • Ability to develop SQA Test Plans and then execute those Test Plans. 
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally and in writing as needed to a technical audience. 
  • Ability to reasonably estimate the amount of work required to complete a task and to be able to execute the work successfully against that estimate. 
  • Ability to creatively address conflicts between schedule, costs and quality goals. 
  • A desire to learn and to explore new technologies and take on new challenges
  • Bio-Pharma background is a plus.  
  • Business Objects or experience with similar reporting systems is a plus.  

Educatio

  • BS in Computer Science or related field is preferr
