The Position
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A Scientist or Sr. Scientist position is being offered to a highly motivated, qualified candidate to join the Marketed Product Support Group in the Late Stage Pharmaceutical Development Department. The position is Responsible for manufacturing site transfer and line extensions for the Genentech legacy biologics drug products, serves as technical subject matter experts for Quality investigations related to manufacturing and customer complaints, contributes to the relevant regulatory filings, supports the Quality organization during health authority inspections and for commercial control system upgrades.
The individual will participate in multi-functional product technical teams and will work closely with personnel within and outside the Late Stage Pharmaceutical Development Department.
Who You Are
REQUIREMENTS: This person must have a solid background in protein chemistry and/or physics with significant experience with manufacturing and formulating protein therapeutics. The candidate should possess initiative, excellent problem solving abilities, good organizational and documentation skills in order to work in a challenging environment. She/he should be able to work independently and effectively in cross-functional project teams. Good interpersonal, collaborative and communications skills, both oral and written, are required.
Candidates will have either a Ph.D., with 5-10 years of experience, in an appropriate discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry or related scientific fields), or a BS/MS degree with 10-15 years of relevant experience, with a suitable publication record.
