Program Requirements Genentech is seeking diverse students based on a combination of demonstrated academic performance, leadership, financial need, community service, and career aspirations in the field of science. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

• They must fit of one of the following categories:
  
  1. Graduating high school seniors who are enrolled full-time at one of the designated educational high school institutions and will be continuing onto college in the fall.
  2. College students who are enrolled full-time at one of the designated educational college institutions and are at least a sophomore at the time of the application submission and have no less than one more semester of school left before graduation.
  3. Graduate students who are enrolled full-time at one of the designated educational college institutions and have no less than one more semester of school left before graduation.
• Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 or above.
• U.S. citizenship or unlimited permission to work in the United States.
• Demonstration of financial need.
• Genentech employees and their immediate family members, past scholarship recipients, past/current interns or co-ops are not eligible.
• Participating schools must meet a minimum of three submitted applications for students to be considered.
