Genentech supports grants for independent medical education through its Independent Medical Education Department (IMED) as a way to contribute to the enhancement of the medical community's ability to care for patients. IMED only accepts grant requests for independent medical education programs for healthcare professionals.
Important Organizational Announcement As part of the Roche/Genentech integration, Roche and Genentech have merged their respective independent medical education departments into the existing Genentech Independent Medical Education Department (IMED). Effective November 2, 2009, the primary grant management tool for the combined organization is the IMED Grant Management Application (IMED GMA). Effective November 2, 2009
