Description rhuMAb Beta7 is a humanized IgG1 MAb targeting the beta 7 integrin subunit. It binds to two integrin receptors, alpha4beta7 and alphaEbeta7. These receptors are required for trafficking and retention in lymphocytes in the gastrointestinal tract and appear to play a role in inflammatory bowel diseases.
Development Status A Phase I clinical trial evaluating rhuMAb Beta7 for ulcerative colitis is ongoing.
