"Research interests:

The design of combinatorial antibody library for naïve repertoire selections
We based our design on the understanding of how natural antibody repertoire functions to recognize antigens. What we find as the essence of a productive antibody library in turn increases our appreciation for the mechanism of antibody repertoire and adaptive immunity.

The technology of combinatorial library selections
We are interested to enhance the existing phage display technology utilized for combinatorial library selection. The goal is to increase the selection efficiency and throughput and to provide alternative strategy for targets that are not amenable to phage display.

The molecular basis of protein-protein interactions by structural and functional studies
The interest is to appreciate and dissect the mechanism of action resulting from the interaction of molecules. We apply the knowledge to engineer molecules such as antibodies to have desired properties (affinity/specificity/bispecificity), or to uncover its biological functions.

The angiogenesis and others
In collaboration with other laboratories, we have been applying protein-engineering methods to study the role of VEGF, BR3 and other related molecules in biological processes."
