The main interest of my lab is the development of new technologies for antibody discovery with mammalian multispan membrane proteins.
Multispan membrane proteins present significant technical challenges to biochemical and structural studies as well as to the application of the powerful combinatorial biology tools for antibody discovery that have proved very successful with soluble protein targets.
Our aim is to develop new tools and methodologies to apply phage display and other combinatorial biology procedures to multispan proteins to overcome and bypass the challenges that these proteins present to antibody discovery. An exciting aspect of this work is the opportunity for extensive collaborations with scientists in the molecular biology, oncology, infectious disease, structural biology, protein engineering and other groups within
