I joined Genentech in September of 1994. I was focused primarily on the anti-IL-8 project at the time and found it very exciting to be collaborating with scientists whose work I had admired while I was a postdoc working on IL-8 biology.

Years later, I still find that the combination of fast-paced, quality work and collaboration with world-class scientists creates a very challenging and gratifying work environment.

• My Focus

  In my group, as in much of AAT as a whole, we develop assays needed to help move Research projects forward into development.

  We use many approaches, including traditional ELISAs, various solution phase binding technologies, enzymatic assays, and many types of cell-based assays, including cell binding, proliferation, and primary leukocyte response assays. We also evaluate and implement new technologies, including approaches to multiplexed protein analysis. The primary focus of my group is currently on immunology-related projects.
