The Position

DESCRIPTION

This is a 2 year TERM position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Translate work requests into detailed work plans / work orders
  • Ensure accuracy of repetitive maintenance plans and associated task list BOMs
  • Perform job walks to ensure complete understanding of requested work and project support
  • Partner with assigned work center and Scheduling to ensure an efficient resource loaded schedule
  • Ensure that requested maintenance activities are in compliance with Quality policies and procedures
  • Manage work order backlog with assigned work center(s), engaging Supervisors, Leads and Schedulers as appropriate
  • Ensure that CMMS database is accurate and up to date by updating BOMS, Functional locations, Sort Fields, etc.
  • SAP support for assigned work centers and Facilities as a whole
  • Assist in the development of documented procedures for Planning and Scheduling processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, including but not limited to MRO Stores, Contractors, Vendors, Customers, Production Planner Schedulers, Document Control and CMMS Administrators
  • Partner with MRO stores to order parts for non-repetitive work orders
  • Audit MRO Stores staging area on a regular basis to ensure jobs are executed as planned
  • Develop and maintain task lists for regular maintenance repairs
  • Maintain CMMS resource availability of work centers in order for proper scheduling to full capacity
  • Review completed repetitive and non-repetitive work orders for duration accuracies and update CMMS when necessary
  • Provide dedicated support to all assigned work centers and the MILE team during each scheduled maintenance interval

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

  • Enable the HTO Maintenance Systems organization to attain business objectives through focus on effective utilization of business systems for asset maintenance, repairs, operations and management
  • Partner with key stakeholders to understand and meet the current and future business requirements
  • Assess best business practices and business objectives to identify gaps and opportunities, and develop the roadmap to realize the strategic vision for Facilities Engineering
  • Remain accountable for execution of the Maintenance Systems strategy, which will include selection and implementation of new applications
  • Proficient in Corporate Facilities asset management system SAP MTI
  • Develop and document workflow practices and routine tasking for these activities
  • Evaluate procedures for managing data and business practices to optimize information processing systems
  • Provide daily assistance to HTO personnel as needed
  • Identify system wide data changes and perform data correction
  • Thorough knowledge of cGMP and GDP compliance
  • Demonstrate effective writing skills including preparing technical reports, the revision of various technical documentation and procedures
  • Ability to work overtime or temporarily modify shift schedule to support manufacturing operation as needed
  • Effectively work with minimum or no supervision

TRAINING DUTIES

  • Attend all required cGMP training as required by Department Policy
  • Attend all required Safety training as required by Department Policy
  • Complete on-the-job training using established training procedures
  • Possess expert knowledge of and provide SAP Maintenance Technician training to applicable HTO SAP users

EDUCATION / TRAINING

  • B.S. degree in Business (Operations Management or Supply Chain Management), Industrial Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • Extensive knowledge of CMMS Plant Maintenance systems and other related strategic tools
  • Working knowledge cGMP relating to equipment maintenance and calibration activities; excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills; ability to work on multiple activities simultaneously in a fast paced environment; ability to work with minimal supervision as member of a self-directed team; must be customer service oriented
  • Other experience required as a minimum of one year in a maintenance or calibration organization with responsibilities for asset management and/or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) administration an operation or minimum one-year experience operating or administrating a comparable information system
