The Position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain the information architecture and taxonomy of gRED ECD and ensure that all KM solutions adhere to it.
  • Closely collaborate with other ‘support’ groups to ensure the end-to-end components around a certain knowledge are properly captured and managed.
  • Lead adoption of knowledge management systems and related business processes across different stakeholder groups.
  • Help users determine where/when/how to manage their documents and information.
  • Lead and execute on the document management Governance model, including document properties, metadata, naming convention, access control and workflow; ensure relationships are defined between documents and business processes.
  • Support in developing and implementing long-term strategies for sustainable knowledge development, organization, and distribution.
  • Define site/content ownership roles and responsibilities and establish a repeatable site/content owner engagement process in support of the KM Governance model and overall knowledge quality maintenance and improvement.
  • Drive for compliance with records retention policies (i.e. COREMAP) and procedures in ECD, develop partnerships and promote collaboration beyond ECD.
  • Champion continuous improvement in knowledge management systems and processes, looking for new ways to capture knowledge, lessons learned and reap the benefits of knowledge sharing across the organization and strategic business partners.
  • Provide support in overseeing the KM Project Coordinator/s and the IT resources to ensure objectives and deliverables are met.
  • Constantly learn, ideate, and generate strategies around the digital transformation of KM using novel technologies (AI, chatbots, ML, etc.)

Education, Experience, and Other Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree (preferred): Library or Information Sciences a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in knowledge, process or document management discipline is a must.
  • Multi-disciplinary experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
  • SharePoint, LiveLink, Project Library, Documentum or other Electronic Content Management System experiences is a must.
  • Thorough understanding of novel technology trends (AI, ML, NLP, automation, etc.) and their significance and impact for KM is a must.
  • Analytical, organizational, problem solving and decision-making skills demonstrated through tangible results during current or previous employment.
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, well organized, able to develop alternative solutions to issues and ability to work independently
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Agile, able to successfully navigate through ambiguity and manage change, challenge the status quo, identify inefficiencies and propose streamlined, scalable solutions.
  • Limited travel (international and national) may be required.
