The candidate will utilize their software engineering experience to enable the Software Engineering group to deliver the best solutions to the address the needs of the company.
The Bioinformatics & Computational Biology Department seeks a motivated individual to join our team of talented developers to create transformational software that assists in discovering groundbreaking therapeutics. As a Software Engineer, you will be able to understand the needs of our distinguished scientists and interface with key stakeholders in order to deliver IT solutions that support our culture of innovation.

You are able to understand the problems the collaborators need to solve, and work to find the best solutions to those problems.
You can work effectively with a geographically diverse team and collaborators, ensuring clear and timely communication among all parties.
You ensure we are bringing the greatest value to our team and our collaborators by working with the team to properly align and prioritize work with our key stakeholders.
You will ensure the software that we deliver solves current problems, but is flexible enough to address future scientific and technological advances.
Who You Are
You have a BS degree or higher
You have at least 8 years experience in software development
You enjoy working with customers and are passionate about collaborating with them to deliver them the greatest value through your software.
You are pragmatic about the tradeoffs between features, quality, and timeliness.
You have experience in all aspects of the software development process, including requirements gathering, architecture, design, implementation, release, and maintenance.
You have a strong desire to follow software development best practices
You are comfortable working across the full application stack.
You are interested in exploring other technologies and processes, along with determining how they would fit well in our environment.
You are able to present, both verbally and written, your work to diverse audiences, including customers, technical colleagues, and management.
You have experience and are comfortable performing many roles on a team, including individual contributor, analyst, and leader.
You are comfortable working in a scientific environment, especially one that is related to drug development.
