The Position

Key Responsibilities and Job Requirements

Travel: 30%

Business Performance Analysis and Business Case Development

  • Identify development accelerating opportunities through quantitative and qualitative means through data collection and analysis

  • Develop value proposition and business cases

  • Communicate business cases and enroll senior leaders to sponsor and cascade the case for change

Drive Continuous Improvement

  • Showcase business benefits using methodologies spanning LEAN, Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, Benefits Realization, Business Analytics

  • Previous experience developing a data driven process is advantagious

Program Management

  • Design, deploy, and install programs: Establish boundaries, analyze and set context, develop scope, manage schedule, build organization, develop resource, cost, and risk mitigation plans, establish communications, reporting, and escalation lines

  • Select, form and manage project teams, consisting out of DAT members, colleagues from other functions, external BPM’s and business analysts.

  • Lead cross-functional teams in a matrix, with and without authority

  • Motivate teams to excel and achieve results, in a complex environment across Product Development, and external departments like Technical Operations, IT and Research

Change Management

  • Drive or partner with PD change management experts to ensure successful transition to operations of your initiatives, the realization of benefits, and the on-going sustainment of those benefits

Vendor and external budget oversight

  • Identify, select, retain, manage vendor partners that may aid in delivering our transformations

  • Oversight of budgets in excess of $1M, management of direct, contractor and consulting staff

Stakeholder management

  • Maintain effective working relationship with business leaders, stakeholders, users and partners to integrate programs into overall strategic objectives

Who You Are

Qualifications, Experience & Education

  • Over 10 years of experience in Impact Analysis, Project Management and Process Improvement, preferably in Process mature companies with strong Project Management and Six Sigma/LEAN cultures; comfortable in the facilitation and driving to completion of Lean Six Sigma projects, workshops, Kaizen events, and various other facilitations as necessary. Simultaneously manage multiple improvement projects within the team.
  • Over 5 years of experience managing teams/staff with responsibility for said staff’s work product, guiding, coaching and ensuring quality work product/team project planning
  • A track record of delivering $20M/yr savings; experience with Financial/Impact analysis
  • Process Improvement credentials; Master Black Belt (managed Black Belts)
  • At least 3 years experience in Finance, Data Analytics, IT; analyzing data, collecting it, measuring and systems implementation experience
  • Preferable experience in Clinical Development, Research and/or Healthcare
  • Extensive proven experience in working with SVP level executives in the design and successful implementation of improvement initiatives, with a proven record of E2E process analysis to sub process optimization, cross functionally
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Economics, Relevant Certifications or Company Training, Relevant Coursework, Business/Finance background; ability to acquire any specialized domain knowledge required to be more effective in all required activities
  • At least 3 years Project management experience, with exposure to the design and administration of program governance

  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills, with an ability to consistently execute multiple, and sometimes competing activities to a high quality and timely conclusion

  • Ability to quickly assimilate and prioritize changing business requirements into in-flight strategies and plans

  • Ability to see the connections between seemingly disparate issues, as well as distill complex and sometimes voluminous content into clear, concise, and engaging communications

  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills, including a record of accomplishment influencing without authority and driving cross-functional activities to successful conclusion

  • Strong customer-orientation and proven track record of collaborative work relationships
