We are seeking an independent and motivated researcher for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Karen Gascoigne’s laboratory in the Department of Discovery Oncology. The successful candidate will join a research team that combines cutting-edge gene engineering, cell biology, functional genomics, and bioinformatics to uncover novel approaches to target cancer. The successful candidate will utilize state-of-the art genome and transcriptome engineering technologies to understand and target transcriptional dysregulation in cancer. In this regard, the candidate will have an opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams (including chemistry, biochemistry, structural biology, and translational oncology).

A Ph.D in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, or related field. Detailed understanding of state-of-the-art molecular biology, gene engineering and chromatin biology techniques. Computational or bioinformatics experience, particularly in NGS analysis would also be an asset. You have a demonstrated record of innovative scientific accomplishments as evidenced by at least one first-author paper published or accepted in a top tier journal. You enjoy working closely and collaboratively with bench scientists to solve complex biological problems.
