The Position

An Associate Scientist / Scientist position in the Early Stage Pharmaceutical Development organization is available for a highly motivated and qualified candidate. The incumbent in this position will be responsible for conducting research and development activities for diverse therapeutic formats including protein formulations, conjugates, cancer vaccines, mRNA, siRNA, long acting delivery formats, hydrogels, vaccines and cell-based therapeutics.  This role will include developing formulations and drug delivery solutions to support research, pre-clinical, and clinical studies, and will actively participate in multifunctional product development teams.


The successful candidate will possess the following minimum qualifications. The level of the position will depend on the qualifications and depth of experience of the selected candidate.

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biophysics, Pharmaceutical Science, Biochemistry or a related discipline. Candidates with a Bachelors/Masters in a related discipline with 10+ years of relevant post-Bachelor's experience may also be considered. 
  • Hands-on experience with biophysical techniques such as fluorescence spectroscopy, CD and Raman spectroscopy, AUC, and light scattering is preferred. 
  • Breadth of experience with formulation development of cell or nucleotide based therapeutics, long acting delivery therapeutic formats and/or polymer chemistry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated initiative, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to multi-task. 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in cross-functional project teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills, both oral and written.
