The Position

Title: Business Analyst

Job Overview:

The role of a Business Analyst is to lead the delivery of solutions and services to the business. They are responsible for understanding business processes and developing business requirements for solutions. They will perform analytical and conceptual activities. This role serves as the interface between the business and the software development team in support of solution lifecycle management including business stakeholder management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Solution Architects to develop solution designs and developers to ensure solutions meet the business requirements
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure requirements are managed effectively on projects
  • Partner with Delivery Service Managers to ensure requirements for operational changes/enhancements are managed effectively
  • Establish high quality user requirements and functional requirements on the basis of identified business needs.
  • Business requirement are analyzed on time at high quality, requiring no or little rework.
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconciling conflicts. Decomposing high­ level information into details. Abstracting up from low ­level information to a general understanding
  • Distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Create work effort estimations.
  • Support testing process on projects to ensure the solution is fit for purpose.
  • Operational changes derived from business customers’ change request are tracked and implemented.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the final solution matches the URS and meets the customer's needs.
  • Business value realization and business adoption
  • Role Interfaces closely with: Demand Manager, Business Solutions Manger, Project Manger, Solution Architect, Solution Owner, Process Owner and Key Business Stakeholders, Component SMEs, Solution Lifecycle Manager, Software Developer

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • BS/BA Degree or related experience
  • Must have 4+ years of related experience
  • Must have demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, leadership and influencing skills
  • Ability to facilitate and have strong presentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Teamwork and collaboration
  • Negotiation skills and problem solving
  • Excellent understanding of business processes
