We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Departments of Discovery Oncology and Early Discovery Biochemistry to characterize novel ubiquitin signaling pathways and enzymes. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a wide range of cellular, biochemical and molecular biology techniques. These will include the development and implementation of protein interaction assays, enzymatic assays, biophysical, and cell-based assays. Practical experience with or a solid understanding of enzymology, bioinformatics, and/or mass spectrometry techniques are encouraged.
Qualified candidates will have a Ph.D. degree and/or M.D. degree and may have completed some postdoctoral research in the areas of Biochemistry, Structural Biology, and/or Cell Biology with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with standard molecular biology techniques. Efficient time management and the ability to work simultaneously on several projects are essential, as is an excellent track record of success, as indicated by publications in top-tier journals and strong letters of recommendation. Candidates will independently plan and execute experiments, interpret results, and proactively solve problems. The candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with and coordinate multiple research teams. Proficiency with graphing, data management, and drawing software is strongly recommended. Attention to detail and enthusiasm for science are a must.
