We have an opportunity for a talented and innovative Scientist/Senior Scientist to join the Structure Elucidation Group in Small Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The successful candidate will explore and implement new technologies to support the development of novel small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of significant unmet medical needs. This individual will work collaboratively with scientists from the Analytical, Process Chemistry, and Pharmaceutics groups to qualitatively and quantitatively investigate side-products, impurities, and degradants associated with drug substance and drug product research and development. Responsibilities will also include analysis of chemically complex excipients and novel delivery vehicles for small molecule therapeutics. This candidate must have the ability to independently design, plan, and execute protocols to resolve issues related to unknown compound identification. The successful candidate will be excited by research at the cutting edge of nuclear magnetic resonance, be able to identify new applications of NMR that can be applied to small molecule structure elucidation problems, apply computational methods to complement interpretation of NMR data, and ultimately drive innovation to solve structural problems in pharmaceutical development. The successful candidate will have demonstrated a sustained record of productivity and substantive scientific contributions as determined by consistent publications in high-impact journals and presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
