The Position

Position Summary:

The Senior Administrative Associate (SAA) position provides full and diversified administrative support to Workplace and Employee Experience Team in Pharma Informatics (PI).  Duties will include, but are not limited to: coordinating meetings, making travel arrangements, preparing reports and interacting with customers and vendors. The SAA must be able to utilize good judgment in managing calendar appointments and access to Manager’s schedules.  The SAA will also be responsible for coordinating, assembling and packaging presentations, agendas, meeting minutes and other meeting materials. The SAA will be expected to manage conference room scheduling and coordinate meetings with other Managers within iSSF and across the Roche network.  The SAA will also be expected to participate in the planning and execution of iSSF Site & Community events and celebrations.


  • Proven ability to perform at a Senior Administrative Associate level

  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal leaders, customers, employees and external vendors

  • Must be flexible and adaptable

  • Strong calendaring and catering skills

  • Balance requests and activities by several Managers; Ability to prioritize and multitask as needed

  • Ability to manage, receive and act upon ad-hoc request

  • Effective written and interpersonal communications

  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion with sensitive/confidential and proprietary information

  • Ability to think proactively, creatively, strategically with strong attention to detail

  • A team oriented individual with expectation to assist other members of the Administrative Team as needed

  • Strong meeting management skills (agenda, minutes, action items follow up’s etc.)

  • Desire and ability to build cross-functional relationships between departments and within the team


  • 5 years general office experience, of which at least 2 years has been spent on supporting Management level

  • Must be tech savvy, with strong PC and/or Mac computer skills and proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.

  • Customer service oriented

  • High integrity and ability to hold confidence

  • Experience in PowerPoint and SAP is helpful

  • Bachelors degree preferred
