We have an exciting opportunity for a talented senior-level medicinal chemist to join our Small-Molecule Drug Discovery Chemistry Department at Genentech in South San Francisco, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving medicinal chemistry research during the lead identification and optimization stage as part of a drug discovery team.
Applicants should have >7 years of post PhD industrial research experience in medicinal chemistry.
Expert knowledge of modern medicinal and synthetic chemistry is required.
Experience in new synthetic and medicinal chemistry technologies, including alternate therapeutic modalities, is highly desired.
Preferred applicants will possess a strong record of accomplishment demonstrated by contributions to portfolio milestones and multiple peer reviewed publications and patent applications.
Applicants should convey strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively in teams.
