The Position

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Explore, experiment & pilot digital technologies for QSQM (e.g. real-time, Artificial Intelligence, Virtual/Augmented Reality, automation) in agile way
  • Proactively drive digital re-imagination of processes; propose new business models and drive excellence and execution (i.e.; OneQMS, WalkMe )
  • Benchmark best practice (within and outside of Roche, driving best-in-class capabilities, business process and tool solutions to maximize value delivery)
  • Drive business information framework within business & across systems for E2E process 
  • Evaluate interdependencies between different QA Systems (i.e.; OneQMS, EDMS, MPC, MELODI)
  • Collect and drive system-related best practices & foster experience exchange on digital tools 
  • Lead the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives in the QA Application area by partnering with functional representatives and IT according to schedule and regularly report status to stakeholders
  • Contribute to options analysis and design of solutions to stabilize and continually optimize Quality System performance.
  • Act as a data steward for Key Performance Indicators, Process Health Indicators and Analytics as needed for core processes.
  • Able to lead implementation of major improvement efforts 
  • Use influence rather than authority when necessary to achieve results
  • Develop meaningful and lasting relationships with partners for optimized systems integration, and respond to questions and concerns from managers and executives with supporting research and recommendations
  • Actively support the Business Process Owner, and collaborate with other Analysts, SMEs, IT, functional organizations and others as appropriate.

Job Qualifications: Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an applicable field or equivalent, MBA a plus
  • Minimum 7-10 years of work experience in biopharmaceutical production and an understanding of quality processes and procedures  
  • Experience with validated or controlled environments preferred
  • Working knowledge of one or more information packages (e.g., QMS, EDMS, ECM)
  • Experience using Lean Production System (LPS) for continuous improvement opportunity evaluation
  • Leadership and project management, including understanding of life cycle planning
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead both with and without authority
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with others in a proactive, positive and constructive manner
  • Proven critical thinking and creativity skills; solve problems by applying technical and functional experiences
