As a Chapter Section Lead of Product & Service Management Chapter for PDIX PSM, you will lead the team of Product Managers and Service Delivery Management experts who will be driving and managing product lifecycle management for Roche Product Development Informatics, and provide a second level escalation point for issues related to the people reporting to this roles.
As a people manager you will manage a team of FTEs and contingent workers. You will have the responsibility of supporting FTE team members on their personal development, coaching, advising, creating a healthy team environment in addition to implementing full range of HR people practices as performance and compensation management.
The position entails accountability of the team you manage to ensure excellence in the delivery of product strategy, product development, and product support for PDIX, contract negotiation with external service providers and management, process governance , and continuous improvement of the services provided. In addition the chapter section lead will also play a product manager role for PDIX or participate in projects and squads or lead a squad for departmental internal initiatives or cross functional initiatives.
You will be responsible to build up the right capabilities and people, equip them with the skills, tools, and standard approaches to deliver functional excellence, and ensure that they are deployed to value-creation opportunities supporting squads
As people leader, accountable for the staffing, development, and qualification of his/her team through a well-balanced approach of supervising, coaching and managing the performance of every team member
Seek, evaluate and act on feedback on chapter members from USIX Networks Heads, team members, and other colleagues, in alignment with HR People Practices
Promote a culture of agility, diversity, inclusion, and continuous improvement to nurture a customer-focused, growth mindset work environment and evaluate, promote, coach, and develop Chapter members
Establish Excellent Partnerships with main stakeholders , being the most relevant : PDIX Network Heads, Global Infrastructure Services (GIS) organization, IT Solution Centers, Chapter Leads of other Pharma Informatics organizations and external providers account Managers .
Provide strategic direction, prioritization, mobilization of resources aligned to shared business objectives with respective areas and allocate talent to different roles in squads
Vendor Management for the partners already providing operational support, or contract negotiation for potential future partnership.
Ensuring actionable metrics are in place for all IT Operational Services provided by the members of the chapter.
Occasionally, act as a squad member to tackle on business opportunities, joining network squads
Co-create chapter strategy and workforce planning with Chapter Head
Establish Best Practices framework for Service Management implementation.
Be a product manager for one area with responsibility to co-create product strategy with ITBP and implement the strategy through the lifecycle of the product
Practice servant leadership
Current or previous team management position, managing a team of IT professionals overseeing projects or operations. Team size of 5 to 12 would be an ideal team size and strength to show maturity in doing this role.
Knowledge drug development environment within the pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous.
Demonstrated experience running operations and projects teams that deliver value to business in using technologies. Show and demonstrate agility and being hands on when required to manage project and operational risks and issues.
Thorough knowledge of the application of software solutions to complex business problems in a validated environment.
You demonstrate great problem solving techniques.
Detail oriented, ability to drive continuous improvement in operation excellence around incident management, release management, problem management, knowledge management and change management.
Proven ability in building great relationships with your seniors and peers.
Establishes integrated strategies, plans, governance, team structure to strive for the highest level of quality.
Strong team player and character to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver under stressful and during peak periods.
Strong communication skills with fluent and effective English (written and spoken) and work experience in a multinational environment.
Strong influencing and leadership skills and customer-focus mindset.
You have flexibility to travel for up to 20% of time including outside of your home country.
