We are seeking an exceptional individual for a Scientist position within the in vitro ADME group in the Small Molecule Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Department. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in both LC-MS/MS method development and structural characterization of biological polymers such as peptides and nucleic acids with a track record of in vitro biological assay development and technical problem solving. S/he will primarily support discovery and development of new modalities of drugs utilizing various in vitro ADME assays including but not limited to plasma and tissue protein binding, metabolic stability and reaction enzyme phenotyping. Additionally, the successful candidate is expected to explore emerging in vitro ADME techniques and conduct investigational research to address project-specific translational DMPK issues such as IVIVC. This role will involve new assay development and exploration of novel scientific ideas and methodologies using various in vitro biological systems in combination with advanced mass spectrometry.
Ph.D. in Biological Sciences/Pharmaceutics/Chemistry or other relevant field with 0-2 years of post-doctoral or industrial experience as proven by a solid publication record.
Scientific curiosity and hands on experience with LC-MS/MS required.
Passion for lab-based research with versatile laboratory skills.
Comprehensive understanding of drug metabolism and ADME principles including enzyme kinetics and IVIVE is desired.
Preference will be given to candidates with solid research experience in biological mass spectrometry including LC-MS/MS analysis and structural characterization of peptides and nucleic acids, metabolomics and proteomics.
The candidate must be highly motivated, detail oriented and organized with excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and a good team player able to mentor and positively influence team members.
