We seek a highly motivated, productive and creative Senior Scientific Researcher to join our endeavor in basic neuroscience research and pursuit of innovative treatments for CNS diseases. The individual will use a variety of molecular, cellular, genetic, and pharmacological techniques to investigate mechanisms of neurodegeneration/repair and identify therapeutic targets. He/she will be expected to independently design, execute and analyze experiments, as well as frequently interact and communicate with other groups as part of a diverse and multidisciplinary team. This is a hands-on laboratory position with abundant opportunity for collaboration with other researchers in a highly dynamic and fast-paced environment.
PhD with a strong research background in molecular and cellular biology and/or biochemistry
Postdoctoral experience is a plus
Expertise in a wide range of molecular, cellular, and biochemical techniques for understanding and manipulating biological pathways.
Critical thinking and passion for scientific discovery
Track record of completing challenging technical problems independently and creatively, exemplified by publication of research in high-quality scientific journals
Proficiency with primary rodent and iPSC human neural cell cultures and complex in vitro models, including the ability to manipulate gene expression and perform confocal microscopy
Proficiency with single-cell profiling, CRISPR, and analysis of NGS
Experience with clinical samples
