The Position

Research Informatics Senior Change and Adoption Manager

The growing gRED Research Informatics & Software Engineering (RI&SE) department develops and supports production grade informatics solutions that enable collaborative science at scale,

innovative scientific discoveries and data-driven decision making within the gRED Research organization. We enable the Human-Machine partnership in support of the gRED 2025 vision.

RI&SE seeks a talented, experienced, self-driven and collaborative change manager. Driving for value and impact, you will: 

  • Develop and deploy change management and communication strategies, driving successful realization of both department initiatives and software programs that create and deliver transformational solutions enabling cutting edge research and the discovery of ground breaking therapeutics. 

  • Demonstrate and foster teamwork, collaborate productively with and influence project team, peers and all levels of management.

  • Engage project stakeholders, researchers, technical leads and delivery teams to understand their requirements and co-create actionable change strategies integrated in project plans, including a communication plan, sponsor roadmap, mentorship plan and training plan.

  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address concerns.

  • Manage communication, including meetings and presentations

  • Ensure timely delivery of change milestones; develop measurement strategies to ensure programs delivering their intended value; and take a broad view of cross-functional activities to raise and leverage inter-dependencies.

  • With a continuous improvement mindset, proactively identify opportunities to; focus on incremental value and impact rather than perfection.

  • Build and evolve RI&SE Operations’ capabilities for change management, and drive change management strategies and activities at the department level, in partnership with stakeholders and other informatics groups.

  • Mentor and lead contractors to adopt and execute change management methodologies for RI&SE programs

As a successful candidate, you will have many of the following attributes

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with 8+ years experience including several years of experience and demonstrated success handling complex change informatics initiatives in scientific (Pharma/Biotech) or technical environments. 

  • Outstanding leadership and collaboration skills. 

  • Demonstrated change management experience including developing and implementing impact analysis, stakeholder analysis and engagement plans, change communication, learning & development strategies. 

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, to diverse audiences including scientists, technical colleagues, decision makers and leadership

  • Results driven and comfortable moving concepts and actions forward in an ambiguous environment across domains

  • Ability to analyze and integrate change management requirements from users in a scientific or laboratory environment, especially one that is related to drug development; excel at asking the “why’s” and “how’s”. 

  • Ability to work independently, effectively  and positively with cross-functional teams in a distributed workforce

  • Comfortable and experienced with a variety of communication, change and project management methodologies (including Agile) and  tools (e.g., Smartsheets, Google Suite, JIRA, etc.).
