The Position

IR Coordinator/IR Specialist


This position will be responsible for a wide range of technical and project management duties for the Investor Relations department.  Working in a team environment, you will handle a wide variety of situations in a fast-paced, dynamic setting, and be responsible for confidential and time-sensitive material. You will support the Head of Investor Relations, North America in maintaining and strengthening the company’s successful interface with both external and internal audiences, including stockholders, investment analysts, employees and others.



  • Lead planning for investor meetings, conferences, quarterly earnings calls, webcasts, and non-deal road shows.
  • Manage team event calendar and events - proactively coordinate and drive completion of outstanding team deliverables for upcoming events
  • Drive investor targeting analysis by collaborating with external vendor (Ipreo) and corporate access personnel at brokerage firms prior to roadshows
  • Liaise with brokerage and vendor firms to plan logistics for all roadshows bus tours, conferences and events
  • Develop briefing materials for management in preparation for various investor events
  • Actively manage CRM tool- maintain record of all interactions between IR team and investors
  • Manage up-to-date financial and investor relations information on corporate website
  • Provide research to various internal departments and key stakeholders. Pull analyst reports from Factset, Bloomberg, Thompson Reuters, or other IR tools for circulation amongst company leadership
  • Monitor industry reports, news articles and media commentaries. Gather data pertinent to the company, its industry, competitors and peers
  • Manage Annual Report process with Basel colleagues for distribution to institutional and individual investors in the US
  • Lead and manage creation of various marketing materials for investors by collaborating with external vendors, including ADR videos, factsheet (complete with key company statistics and financials) etc.
  • Lead point of contact for vendor management; negotiate contracts for hotels, conference call/ webcast companies, AV/staging, promotional items, PR agencies, etc.
  • Interact with senior management across the company (CEO, CFO, Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents etc.) to provide summaries of questions asked by the investor community, develop preparatory briefing materials for investor meetings and answer any questions from management related to event preparation
  • Interact with institutional investors in preparation for investor meetings and presentations to adequately assess and determine which members of management to arrange meetings with, collect preparatory list of questions and answers etc.
  • Be the first line of communication for the IR department; triage questions from the investor community via email and phone as appropriate, answer first round of questions based on product knowledge


Who You Are

Experiences/Competencies Required:

  • Strong project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • A polished communicator, with the ability to routinely interface with senior management, financial analysts, and shareholders
  • 3-7 years relevant experience, preferably in investor relations or communications. Prior experience supporting Investor Relations or financial institutions strongly preferred, but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Candidates in this particular role must be confident, strong, capable, polished, have exceptional computer skills, and be strong workers that exude a certain presence with humility when interacting with senior management across the company. Individual contributors are key- having a sense of confidence in the work and ability to problem solve on your own is highly valued in the role. The ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment, while being highly efficient, and dependable are critical to success in this role.   



Proficient and highly capable with MS Office suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word), Adobe Acrobat, Google calendar, Google drive, Webex, Concur/expense reporting, CRM/database management
