The Position

Location:  South San Francisco, CA

 

Description:

The job responsibility within the Biological Technologies group in Analytical Development and Quality Control is to develop, validate, and troubleshoot biochemical/immunochemical and cell-based assays for clinical and to-be-marketed products. 

 

 In addition, the candidate will perform some testing as needed in support of process development, stability, and lot release according to established test procedures. Expectations will also include some routine lab maintenance, writing SOPs, test procedures, protocols, reports, summarizing/presenting data and participating in internal audits as well as external inspection by regulatory agencies.

 

Additional responsibilities may include presentation of data in internal and external meetings, writing technical reports as well as reports in support of IND/BLA regulatory filings, and supporting collaborations with other groups/sites.


 

Who You Are

Requirements:

PhD in Biological Sciences/Immunology with a strong critical thinking ability.  Post graduate experience is not required but a plus.  Experience in cell culture is required, with a minimum of 5 years experience in developing/performing cell-based, biochemical and immunochemical assays.  GMP experience is a plus but not required. 

 

Proficiency in molecular interaction work (e.g., binding affinity measurement using surface plasmon resonance (SPR-Biacore)) would be a plus but not required. 

 

Ability to work independently as well as with a team, handle multiple projects, demonstrate initiative, strong attention to detail, with effective verbal and written communication skills are a must.  Candidate must be highly motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
