The Position

The IBL is the global commercial expert on a brand, responsible for leading the organization to make the best possible commercial decisions that maximize both patient benefit and commercial value. Leadership & People Management - Builds and maintains a strong and effective International Business Team (IBT) - Creates an environment of strong team spirit, good communication, high motivation and inspires team members to achieve goals. - Leads, sets goals and aligns the IBT to develop and implement the Global Brand Plan Strategy - As a standing Lifecycle Team member, provides commercial input into the lifecycle management activities, and provides commercial assessment of strategic options (e.g. new indications/combinations) - As line manager of International Product Manager(s), plays a pivotal role in discovering and developing talent within the organization. - Provides appropriate and timely performance feedback to IBT representatives’ line managers on the individual’s contribution to the IBT - Provides brand strategy feedback into IPST and IMT meeting - Develops and periodically refines the strategic business and launch plans, including competitive readiness strategies - Manages the development of all strategic business-related plans – including branding, positioning, message strategy, pricing, PR/Communications, disease state strategy, Target Product Profile, and trademarks. - Identifies new market opportunities and manages market risks. - Provides product strategy input into clinical plans. - Challenges the thinking and decisions of other functions in order to maximize appropriate use of brand(s) and Roche perception. - Develops business information package as part of the Integrated Development and Commercialization Planning process (if applicable) and provides general support for queries to IBT/ Top 8 markets and direct interaction with them as appropriate - Provides input to IBT/Top 8 markets to inform forecast assumptions, and leads the development of forecast for new indications and indications that fall outside the of the affiliate forecasting responsibility. - Aligns with Region franchise leads to track brand performance and ensure execution in line with global strategy - Prepares and tracks the rolling global marketing budget and recommends budgetary adjustments in response to internal/ external influences.
