Genentech Access to Care Foundation - Senior Program Manager
The general purpose of the Genentech Access to Care Foundation Senior Program Manager is to lead and oversee Genentech Access to Care teams responsible for fulfilling the mission of GATCF with highest quality and compliance standards.
The Access Solutions Program Manager/Senior Program Manager is responsible over a GATCF team to:
Act as the lead subject matter expert in their respective Genentech Access to Care team, departmental practices, policies, resources, etc., as these relate to assigned GNE products
Demonstrate leadership in a large team environment, including acting as an effective coach to a team of people managers
Identify, recruit, hire, develop and oversee large teams comprised of both direct and indirect reports
Ensure the overall team meets or exceeds assigned goals, objectives, KPIs (key performance indicators) and other targets
Significantly contribute to the immediate, medium- and longer-term planning and development of their respective GATCF team. Identifying and recommending new/enhanced or extended opportunities and the resources required, including departmental budgeting, operations planning, etc.
Use effective analysis to identify and plan for operational capacity in a dynamic environment
Partner with GATCF Business Leads and GATCF Leadership to identify appropriate operational design that reflects GATCF policy and design principles
Participate on various cross-functional teams, representing their specific therapeutic area
Act, and is accountable for others in his/her team acting, in complete & total compliance with all laws, regulations and policies
Utilize only approved resources and messages to meet goals and targets
Work collaboratively, effectively and efficiently with all internal/external partners & stakeholders
Participate, as and when needed/appropriate, in cross-functional or other project teams; helping the overall business of Genentech to continuously evolve, improve and excel

Who You Are
Bachelors Degree required (general business, health sciences, managed healthcare, public policy or related disciplines)
MBA or other related graduate-level degree is a plus
An average of 6 or more years' related work experience in healthcare/healthcare reimbursement
Must demonstrate outstanding knowledge and proficiency in a number of realms/aspects related to healthcare reimbursement: general knowledge/understanding of the managed care industry/environment, to include government payors; proficiency in all aspects of reimbursement, i.e., benefit investigations, payor reimbursement policies and procedures, regulatory and administrative rules, etc.); as well as knowledge of reimbursement funding resources and how to access such resources
Must demonstrate expertise in call center systems, processes, policies, and other relevant departmental procedures/protocols
Previous people management experience
Previous experience in other functions within the pharmaceutical, biotech or related industry is preferred, e.g., field account management, field reimbursement, field sales, product marketing, managed care marketing, customer service & operations, etc.
Some previous experience in same or related therapeutic area is a plus
Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding qualitative, as well as any relevant quantitative, targets and goals
Business travel, by air or car, is required for regular internal and external business meetings
