Roche/Genentech is seeking an Associate Medical Director or Medical Director to join the Hematology development team within Product Development Oncology. This individual will join the rapidly growing Idasanutlin Global Development Team and will have an important role in shaping the development of the molecule across multiple hematologic indications.
Idasanutlin is a first-in-class, oral, selective, small molecule MDM2 antagonist that inhibits binding of MDM2 to p53. Idasanutlin is being developed currently mainly in heme indications like AML, lymphoma and PV.
Participate in Clinical Development strategy development and presents to various internal committees
Provide clinical oversight across all relevant studies and programs
Lead and participate in ongoing CST and relevant sub-team meetings, other interactions and communications
Work with regulatory and other internal partners/stakeholders in the completion and submission of regulatory filings and other regulatory documentation. Support other functions and teams with clinical science information and input for regulatory submissions and other regulatory processes. Includes developing labeling and packaging language, etc.
Play a lead role in the development and implementation of communications strategies to support existing and concluded studies. Includes KOL interactions, advisory boards, major medical meetings, congresses and other events, publications and other materials
Contribute clinical science input into the relevant therapeutic/disease area scientific strategy. Help Research and other PD groups to ensure consistency of scientific and late-development strategies with target label claims and corporate goals
Who You Are
M.D. with board certification or eligibility in Hematology required
2+ years of drug development experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry or a combination of academia and industry required
Extensive experience in the design, conduct, analysis, and reporting of clinical studies
Significant successful interactions with key opinion leaders and investigators
An excellent scientific track record demonstrated by publication record in refereed journals
Proven ability to effectively work in a cross-functional/matrix environment and successfully leverage internal and external partnerships
Strong interpersonal, influencing, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills; able to effectively address all levels within an organization and with external collaborators
