I started working at Genentech in 2005 as a Scientist to develop technologies for antibody discovery against challenging targets. An exciting aspect of this work has been the opportunity for extensive collaborations with scientists in the molecular biology, oncology, infectious diseases, structural biology, protein engineering groups within Genentech to apply these technologies to the development of potential therapeutic molecules.
Being part of the postdoctoral program has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my work at Genentech. It has allowed my group to create and explore innovative technologies that require sustained commitment and dedication to fully mature.

My research focuses on technologies for antibody discovery and optimization. Active areas of work in my group include phage display, next-generation sequencing of antibody repertoires and antibody libraries, streamlined protein expression processes, assays and methods to assess drug-like properties of therapeutic antibody candidates and bioinformatics tools for antibody engineering.
