I joined Genentech in 2014 as a scientist in Immunology Discovery after finishing my postdoctoral training at HHMI/UCSF, where I studied how immune cell trafficking and positioning shapes adaptive immune responses. I am drawn to Genentech because of its supportive and multidisciplinary environment that allows my curiosity in human physiology prosper, and fulfills my eager to translate immunology knowledge to medicine discovery.

My current research aims to understand how defective mucosal barriers allows microbial translocations, dysbiosis, and subsequent inflammatory responses, which are often seen at serious inflammatory disorders of inflammatory bowel disease, asthma, and atopic dermatitis. The ultimate goal is to discover and develop new therapeutic agents to treat patients.
