If there are no available positions of interest to you, we recommend registering in My Jobs, where you can build a candidate profile and receive new Genentech job openings that match the criteria you select. Registration should take 5-10 minutes. It’s a great way to stay informed on the latest opportunities.
To apply for a job, first register in the My Jobs portal. Then you can apply for individual jobs or join our talent pool to learn about future job opportunities that match your selected criteria. When you apply for a job, your information will be saved, making it easier to apply in the future.
Job posting notifications are emailed to you when a new position matches the criteria you set. To receive these, go to My Jobs and set up your candidate profile and preferences. The fields you’ll want to complete to ensure relevant job notifications are: Job Level, Job Type, Schedule, Shift, Job Field, and Location. The more specific you are, the more tailored the job notifications will be. We recommend occasionally checking your settings to ensure they’re up to date.
When searching for a specific position on gene.com, make sure you’re using the filtering options (Keyword, Function, Job Type and Location). If you have the Job ID or job name, entering either into the Keyword field is the fastest way to finding a specific job. If despite all of that you still don’t see the listing, it may have been removed as we are no longer accepting applications. On the upside, we post new positions nearly every day.
All relevant details should be listed in individual job descriptions. Unfortunately, we cannot respond to individual inquiries relating to job postings. Once you’ve applied for a job, your resume/CV and profile will be reviewed by HR. If you’ve joined the My Jobs portal, a Talent Scout or recruiter may contact you if your profile fits a new position. So make sure your candidate profile is up to date!
Once you apply, you’ll be sent an automatic email confirming that your application has been received. You should expect further information within a few weeks.
Our recruitment procedure varies based on location and position. When you apply for a position, your information is made available to our recruiters, who then analyze your skills and experience and compare them to the requirements of the position (and possibly other relevant positions as well). If we believe you match the requirements, we’ll contact you and invite you to an initial interview. Learn more about our hiring process.
