Genentech sponsors several different programs to promote diversity in the workplace and the community. In 2001, we embarked on a mission to define our strategy. The resulting Diversity in Action (DNA) 3-Point-Plan provides a corporate platform for diversity initiatives. Other programs include on-campus affinity groups or "DNA Groups" dedicated to aligning and enhancing diversity with Genentech's business objectives, and the Diversity Council, which works with the DNA Groups to ensure that Genentech's work environment strategically leverages, values and respects diversity.
