A Genentech employee (or host) must sponsor a visitor before their arrival at the South San Francisco campus. The Genentech host must pre-register their guest and the purpose of the visit. Once pre-registered, visitors will receive an email with detailed instructions about their visit, including confirmation of the date, time of arrival, and campus building check-in instructions. Please note, to ensure a healthy environment for our workforce and visitors, Genentech is a tobacco-free campus.

On the day of arrival, all visitors must check in with a receptionist at a campus lobby (see list below) to receive a temporary access badge. Additional campus information such as Genentech transportation shuttles, cafeteria locations, and other available amenities will also be provided. To ensure a seamless process, please be sure to follow the instructions in the pre-registration email and contact your Genentech host with any questions.

Once registered on campus, all visitors are expected to:

• Provide a valid form of government issued ID as a requirement for check in.
• Wear and display their temporary badge in plain sight on their outermost layer of clothing at all times.
• Return their badge at the end of their visit. Hosts or visitors can return badges directly to a lobby receptionist, a Security Officer, or at any badge drop-off box (which are located in all lobbies).

There are designated visitor and ADA parking areas available throughout the South San Francisco campus. Unmarked parking spaces are reserved for employee registered vehicles only; please use a visitor parking space to avoid a parking violation.
