Principal Scientist, Synthetic Molecule Analytical Chemistry, Drug Discovery
I became fascinated by Genentech’s scientific rigor and excellence during the first year of my Ph.D., focusing on the characterization of monoclonal antibodies. The opportunity came in 2018 when I visited Genentech’s Protein Analytical Chemistry Department with the mission of establishing the multidimensional LC-MS technology, now routinely used. After completing my Ph.D. in 2019, I joined the Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences organization at an exciting time with the transformation of the pharmaceutical landscape. The strong culture, highly driven colleagues, cross-functional collaborations, and mentorship opportunities at Genentech have created a fruitful environment enabling breakthrough innovation. Being part of multidisciplinary teams, it is fulfilling to develop technologies and control strategies that may ultimately transform patient lives.

My team develops analytical approaches that inform on the process and formulation of new drug-modality and drug-delivery systems. I also support the characterization and control strategy of cell- and gene-therapy critical materials.
