I became fascinated by Genentech’s scientific rigor and excellence during the first year of my Ph.D., focusing on the characterization of monoclonal antibodies. The opportunity came in 2018 when I visited Genentech’s Protein Analytical Chemistry Department with the mission of establishing the multidimensional LC-MS technology, now routinely used. After completing my Ph.D. in 2019, I joined the Synthetic Molecule Pharmaceutical Sciences organization at an exciting time with the transformation of the pharmaceutical landscape. The strong culture, highly driven colleagues, cross-functional collaborations, and mentorship opportunities at Genentech have created a fruitful environment enabling breakthrough innovation. Being part of multidisciplinary teams, it is fulfilling to develop technologies and control strategies that may ultimately transform patient lives.

As a scientist, I take pride in simplifying potentially complex problems. My team develops analytical approaches that inform on the process and formulation of new drug-modality and drug-delivery systems. I also support the characterization and control strategy of cell- and gene-therapy critical materials.
