Years at Genentech

I joined Genentech and the Prescient Design team in February 2022. Prior to Genentech, I conducted my PhD research on molecular machine learning and total synthesis at Caltech, and conducted research on active learning at Google. I hold a BS in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara.

My research in gRED centers around ML-based molecular discovery, focused on structure-based design and prediction of pharmacological activity. I am broadly interested in challenges of molecular ML and in bridging the gap between small- and large-molecule learning methods.
