GENENTECH GIVES BACK
We’re proud members of the communities where we live and work, and we believe we can have the greatest impact by focusing our efforts at the local level—both through our charitable giving and by empowering employees to give their time and talent to help serve our neighbors.
Since 2010, employees at all Genentech U.S. sites have joined together for Genentech Gives Back, an annual tradition where we come together to support nonprofit organizations in our communities through volunteering and giving. To date, we have volunteered more than 139,970 hours and contributed over $6.1 million through grants and individual employee contributions during Genentech Gives Back.
In 2026, Genentech Gives Back supported three national organizations connected to our Science, Patient and People pillars: the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Make- A-Wish, and Habitat for Humanity. Our employees also supported countless local organizations in our local communities, including food banks, animal shelters, Parks and Recreation Departments, and more.
We design Genentech Gives Back to enable employees to connect with their colleagues, learn about the important work of our beneficiaries and make a positive impact on our communities.
