Change the Conversation: Building a Better Booth
The relationship between companies and researchers is critical, as both play an important, symbiotic role in bringing new medicines to people with cancer. While our main focus at ASCO is presenting the results of new studies, we also view our exhibit space as a "home base" that provides an important venue for us to interact with attendees during the meeting.
June 1st, 2013- Every year at ASCO, tens of thousands of attendees flock to Chicago to hear from world-renowned researchers about the latest advances in the treatment of cancer.
Between scientific sessions, attendees head to the Exhibit Hall to meet face-to-face with those involved in the broad cancer community: cooperative groups, patient advocacy organizations, publishers, medical societies, and of course companies involved in studying, making and selling medicines.
A recent survey revealed that the doctors who visited our booth at the ASCO Meeting in 2012 were most interested in information about our pipeline.
So, this year, we're trying something new with our exhibit space (Booth #10,005). Rather than focusing on our approved cancer medicines (as we've traditionally done), most of our space is dedicated to educating doctors about the investigational medicines in our pipeline. Doctors can also learn about how to get involved with clinical trials and new approaches to cancer that are still at the earliest stages of development.
We expect you'll notice the difference. And we’re hopeful that this new focus on the future of cancer care will result in more dialogue about how to make today's scientific discoveries into tomorrow's medicines. People around the world are depending on it.
