Helix Cup Documentary: Part 2

The Helix Cup is a four part, hands on science competition among all of the eighth-graders in South San Francisco. The goal of the contest is to show kids what it’s like to use science as a way to solve real world problems.

For the second challenge, students needed to design and build a lightweight but effective airdrop container. The kids—with guidance from their teachers and Genentech coaches—got to flex their creative muscles and design systems for executing a successful airdrop.
