Thanks for "Liking" us!

We think social media is a great way to share what we've been working on and what excites us. It also gives us a chance to engage with our community: patients, employees, healthcare providers, scientists, and anyone else looking to join the conversation.

With that in mind, there are some guidelines we need to follow - and ask that you do too - when interacting with our page.

This isn’t the best place to talk about our products, or others

Since we have to be mindful of the regulations that govern our industry and ensure Fair Balance, we will remove any posts that reference any medicines by name. If you are looking for information about our medicines or patient access programs, please visit gene.com/patients. For those interested in the status of investigational medicines, check out our pipeline here. Advertisements of other products will also be taken down.

We want you to report adverse events, but this is not the best place to do so.

To report an adverse effect related to Genentech products, call (888) 835-2555. You can also contact the FDA directly at www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088. Non-U.S. visitors should ask their healthcare provider for more information or contact the local health authority. If you do post here, we will follow-up and report the event.

Keep it on the up and up.

This community is meant to encourage scientific discovery and excitement about the biotech industry. To keep it going, we ask that you refrain from any use of profanity as well as offensive or discriminatory language. We understand passion, and want to get excited wherever we can; express yourself, by all means, but do so with respect for everyone else involved in the conversation. Otherwise, we’re going to remove the post.

This is not a forum for giving medical advice.

Though many who follow and interact with this page are involved in the larger healthcare community (doctors, patients, scientists, etc.) this is not a forum for giving medical advice. Even though the intent is good, unsolicited, unverified medical advice can be dangerous.

Content posted on this page should be relevant to Genentech and the topics discussed herein.

We all love cat videos, but content posted on this page should be relevant to Genentech and the topics discussed herein. Basically we don’t want spammers getting in the way of the conversation we’re trying to have in this space. If you feel we’ve been unfair in removing your comment, please reach out to us so we can discuss it.

Fine Print

Lastly, from our Legal Department, please be aware that Genentech reserves the right to delete any posting at its sole discretion.
